I have a long list of pet names for my son. Before he was born, I called him Parker Roo. And after he was born, he was Fussy Mc Poo Pants. My favorite now is Mr. Parker Pigglesworth. And here's a picture of the kidlet before his haircut. I love his jammies!

Nicknames
I have a long list of pet names for my son. Before he was born, I called him Parker Roo. And after he was born, he was Fussy Mc Poo Pants. My favorite now is Mr. Parker Pigglesworth. And here's a picture of the kidlet before his haircut. I love his jammies!
First Haircut
I decided to wait to cut Parker's hair until his father could be here. My mom made such a big deal over my first one so I thought it would be nice to have his dad there. I have been a little worried about his inability to sit still coupled with scissors. But he did great! He sat still like a little man even on a booster seat and didn't mind the clippers or the blowdryer. He flinched a little at the misting, but she just did that once. And off came his hair. He looks so grown-up now! I do miss his curls and soft hair. What's left is coarse and feels like his dad's. But I saved some curls. (I still have mine from my first haircut.) And I didn't cry! Because almost doesn't count.
The Big Birthday Boy!
Parker turned one last Saturday. He's grown so much! His dad flew up to be with him and we had a nice day. We went shopping for a big boy car seat in the morning and his dad got him some other toys. Then we came back and had a little party for him. And I let him have not one, but TWO cupcakes WITH frosting! I love him with the cupcake all over his front, but the smiling one is my favorite from the day.

Singing Sweetie
I've been terrible about posting lately. It was a mad weekend with Parker's birthday on Saturday and Mother's Day on Sunday. Parker's dad was here and I am just now catching up on things. I wanted to mark this down before I forget to. Parker's started singing along with songs. It's super adorable! His Auntie N got him An Alphabet Pal for his birthday and he sings/hums along with the music setting.

Big Day Tomorrow!
I've been very busy/cranky this week. I think the kidlet is teething and it's been raining so we can't go outside. But I wanted to post this picture because tomorrow is the big day! My little bundle of love turns one tomorrow! I am so proud of him. He's growing and growing and just so sweet. This morning he came over to me and put his face against mine to nuzzle. Awwwww.

Yarn, Coffee and Rain
It's a rainy Sunday morning and I made a pot of coffee. I'm looking forward to some time spent working on this- http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/80910AD.html?noImages= (Yes, you have to be a member to see it, but the image is copyrighted.) Now if my son will give me some peace. He's been extremely fussy this week. It's either a growth spurt or in response to the weaning or both. It's been a trying time. He seemed better yesterday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for today.
